Which copy do I have?
Open Nisshi › Settings › Support. The version line says where it came from, for example 2.0.0 · Direct download.
How updates work
App Store copies update themselves, like any other app on your Mac.
A copy from this site checks for a newer version when it opens, at most once a day, and lets you know in your Nisshi Inbox. You can also check any time from Nisshi › Check for Updates or Settings › Support.
When there is one, click Download. Nisshi saves it to your Downloads folder. Click Quit and Install, and Nisshi quits and opens the new version for you. Drag it onto Applications and choose Replace. Your journal stays exactly where it is.
